Mulch Installation
SouperSaver Mulch Installation Service is usually done in the Spring, but can be done
anytime during the season. For mulch you can get a number of different types and colors
including single, double, triple shredded mulch. The finer the mulch the more expensive it
will be. We will start the mulch installation process by edging all landscape beds prior to
mulching. An edging shovel or a bed edger will be used to make the edge depending on the
size of the job. Vertically we will go down 5 inches on the edge so there is a lip to hold the
mulch and to make sure the mulch will not end up in the grass. It also makes the yard look
cleaner. Prior to the mulch installation we will apply pre-emergent to the bed areas to
prevent weeds. Some areas might call for a weed barrier fabric or a spray if weeds continue
to return. Mulch will be installed under all branches of trees and bushes. If there are any
stepping stones or decorative rocks in the beds, they will be removed, mulched and then put
back in the same place to insure proper installation. Mulch will be cleaned up with a broom
or a gas blower from all hard surfaces (i.e., stepping stones, driveways, sidewalks, etc.).
Note: Prior to mulching, if bushes or any hedges need to be trimmed, we will trim them and
remove all debris from premises so the beds stay free of leaves. Additional costs might
apply for hedge trimming or tree pruning.
Mulch Maintenance
SouperSaver Mulch Maintenance Service is usually done in the fall, but can be done during
the season also. We will start out by removing all weeds from the landscape beds, then
taking a small rototiller to till up the existing mulch to make the mulch look like it was just
installed. We would rake and smooth out the mulch to be level, incase there were any high
or low spots. Finally we will remove all debris from premises.
Decorative Rocks
Landscape decorative rocks add dimension, texture and character to your garden.
Decorative rocks are ideal for hardscaping or landscaping such as ornamental gardens,
rock gardens, parking strips, easements, planters, terraces and pathways dry rock stream,
borders around flower beds and trees. As with any plan you wish, we'll help you to decide
what you want to accomplish whether it be stones used as an accent path or random
boulders used as focal points
SouperSaver has found that mulch is a very important component to any thriving garden.
Especially if you're growing an organic garden, mulch is a great way to enhance your
garden without using chemicals. Mulch is basically a natural covering placed around the
bottoms of plants. It prevents the growth of weeds, reduces erosion and water loss and
helps to regulate the soil temperature. Once decomposed, mulch also improves the soil
quality.
